An executive committee was formed, monthly meetings and outings were held and a fully operational workshop was established.

The club co-hosted the Gemboree 2004 at Barberton, Mpumalanga. The club existed in this form until 2010.

Natural attrition of a large portion of its membership over the years forced the club to scale down its activities.   The workload became too much for the reduced membership resulting in all work and no fun.

The club remained dormant until June 2013 when remaining members revived the club on an informal basis so that the club can continue to exist with minimal effort and expenses and with either many or relatively few members.
